Local Profile
Colchester YMCA is a supported housing scheme providing accommodation for 43 young people aged between 16 and 25, most of whom have never lived independently before. Support is primarily aimed at developing the skills necessary for independent living and accessing education, training or employment.

Young Deaf Club: This project, funded by an Essex County Council Adult Social Care Grant, helps young deaf people grow to their full potential by providing information, support and learning opportunities for young deaf people aged 16 to 25, living in and around Colchester.Outreach: The Outreach project funded by BBC Children In Need, works with young people between the ages of 10 to 18 years old, in particular those who are not in education, employment or training.
Community Hall: Colchester YMCA is keen to see greatly increased use of its community hall. The hall is a fantastic facility located within easy reach of the town centre, with its own car parking and only 2 minutes walk to the town centre train station.
