- Our services should reflect your needs and, in turn, shape your neighbourhood
- You can personally benefit by learning new skills and enjoying different experiences which could lead to full time employment
What we can offer
- The meetings we hold are arranged at a time convenient to you
- Free travel and meals/child care payments
- We recognise your time is valuable and, although your contribution is unpaid and voluntary it is valued by all at the YMCA
- We support self development and provide a range of tailored events and opportunities for each participant, irrespective of their level of knowledge or skills
- We provide an induction process and friendly mentoring (support from others), designed to make it easy for you to understand what it is all about
- We recognise that it takes time for people to grow in knowledge and confidence to truly contribute
What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in those who could assist us in the areas of:
- Selection of IT systems
- Procurement (buying services and equipment)
- Legal contracts and agreements
- Editorial panel for our newsletter
- Effectiveness of repairs and maintenance
- Mystery shopping
- And many other areas . . .
